Part of these reforms that started on 1 December 2017 resulted in reduced costs of CTP Green Slips for vehicle owners and better support people injured on our roads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you were the registered owner of a private vehicle as at midnight 30 November 2017, you may be able to claim a CTP Green Slip refund for insurance policies bought or renewed before 1 December 2017. Over 4 million NSW vehicle owners will be eligible for a refund as a result of these reforms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Services NSW, businesses were sent their refunds in January &amp; February of this year. Most other policy holders are now able to claim their refunds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have not claimed a refund or not sure if you are eligible the below is some detailed information to assist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Please note that CTP refunds are now available between\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1434191207\">7pm and 7am<\/span>\u00a0Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday<\/strong>. You have until\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1434191208\">September 30<\/span>\u00a0to claim your refund so there is no immediate hurry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><u>Who\u2019s Eligible<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are likely to be eligible for a refund where the private vehicle was registered in:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Sydney metro, Outer metro, Newcastle, or Wollongong\u00a0region and the insurance premium was paid from\u00a0February 2017\u00a0onward<\/li>\n<li>Country\u00a0region, and the insurance premium was paid from\u00a0May 2017\u00a0onward<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><u>What you\u2019ll need<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>a\u00a0MyServiceNSW\u00a0account<\/li>\n<li>your banking details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><u>How to Claim<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Select the &#8216;Claim online&#8217; button.<\/li>\n<li>Log into or create your\u00a0account.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the prompts to claim a CTP refund.<\/li>\n<li>Review and submit your claim.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The refund amount varies depending on when the policy was purchased, the type of vehicle, and where you are located.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Refund amounts will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
